ibuprofen, but you probaly shouldn’t be taking pain killers, if your body says your overdoing, your overdoing. BUT I ran cross country for awhile and know how it feels to be running well, and then run across soreness that doesn’t go away after icing, stretcing, or a night of good rest. I don’t know how far into cross country you are: so if you just started running than this is very normal. Pain killers just numb the pain, and the beginning of a run will hurt more and more; after that your legs go numb anyways. Try to talk to your coach if he isn’t to much of a hard ass, but take it easy; getting injured is the worst spirit breaker for a runner. Nothing like boring aqua jogging.
